Some Theoretical References Related to Advanced Mathematical Thinking

Background: In Mathematics Education, the theoretical reference of Advanced Mathematical Thinking has contributed to some research. However, others opt for a different but somehow related reference. Identifying similarities and differences between those references can elucidate researcher’s motivations when adopting one or another Objective: synthesise three studies involving Creativity, Advancing Activity Knowledge, respectively, illustrate possible contributions in analysis written production. Design: research is qualitative speculative so that relationships were carried out used later Setting Participants: involves participant with degree mathematics whom researchers had virtual interaction present questions. Data collection analysis: procedures performed resolution questions prepared based on OBMEP question bank are analysed and, support this example analysis, each production discussed. Results: none covers all thinking mobilised activity, favours focus specific aspects verified participant, line divergences emphasised appreciation Conclusions: knowledge frameworks provides teacher foundations exercise their teaching practice researcher options an adequate choice
